Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Aside from missing the family all is well. Nothing has changed here, just seems that life continues to move along with no hope in sight. There is nothing man can do to really make a country wide difference. The natural cannot do what the supernatural can. Man has tried and failed miserably.
Got a killer night sleep and got up early to start our pilgrimage to the village of Z’Orange. TEM is building a guest house for folks to stay at while on mission in the village. This is being funded by some dude with some sick jack (surfer speak for “lots of money.”) Chuck has talked about this for a while and PTL God sent him someone to bless this area and ministry with his vision. That is why I am here now, to help with some of the construction projects.
The Haitians are busy with all the concrete work while George Truelove, his son Gilbert and I are working on the trusses for the roof. We are making the trusses out of metal and welding all the pieces together. It will be a long two weeks with a ton of work. It will be cool though when it is all done. Any first timers that come up after the completion of the guest house will surely not have a clue of how things were before. I am stoked to have been close to the beginning. As we got back to PAP a frog strangler came down and all the trash in the city went flooding down the streets. As sick as it was it did look pretty awesome. No street cleaners here. I love the provinces. Just like the colonias in Mexico, the provinces are where my heart lies.
