Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

GMSM is proud to share the news that God has blessed us with the opportunity to help start a primary school in Haiti. On October 4, 2011 we started Evangelical Baptist School of the Trinity. With a staff of 11 that includes four teachers, a secretary, 2 cookers a.k.a. lunch ladies, discipline agent, guard, school director and bible teacher we are able to enroll 80 students. Each student receives a hot lunch during the school day.

Our current budget is $775.00 for staff salaries and $465.00 for lunch supplies for one month. That is $1240.00 or $15.50 per child for a month of education and 5 meals a week. By meeting these monetary needs this allows these 80 children to attend school without cost to their family. Specifically, the school is located in town of Croix des Bouquet. Classes will be held in the church compound at First Baptist Church Savon Blonde Santo 25.

We have partnered with Pastor Harry Alexandre to plant and start the school. After so many years spent in Haiti we feel that God is moving us in a direction of education. We have set a goal to start four schools as God allows, over the next two years. Recently, GMSM applied for and was awarded a grant from a local family trust for $10,000. This money will be used to help start schools in Haiti

We will be looking for sponsors for these children. Please pray for these children and the staff of the school. Seek God’s guidance on how he will allow you to be a part of this awesome opportunity.
