Christmas Dinner in Haiti, 2011

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. The outpouring of support for this year’s Christmas party at First Baptist Church Santo 25 Couix des Bouqette, Haiti was tremendous. It should be a reminder that all things are possible with God. We were able to raise more than the $3000.00 which allowed us to minister and bring Christmas to two small orphanages and help the children of five families.

Pastor Harry and his crew did a wonderful job of helping GMSM put together the gift bags, purchasing the food for the Christmas meal, preparing the meal and distributing the meal and gifts. Harry has done a good job mentoring his flock on what we are all to be, a servant.

GMSM wants to give thanks to First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Vance Baptist Church of Vance, AL, Immanuel United Methodist Church of Lakeside Park, KY, First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze, FL and First Baptist Church of Provo, Utah and their congregations for supporting this Christmas project. We would also like to thank all the individuals who supported and made this possible.

GMSM gives a shout out to the The Fort Walton Beach High School Art Departmant, FWBHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes and my wonderful daughters Rachel and Lydia for decorating 260 bags for the Christmas gifts. We also thank the many dentists in our area for stepping up and providing the dental supplies for the gifts. This help make it possible to share the gifts with the orphanages and some other children.

The party was such an overwhelming success that more than 300 children showed up at Harry’s church. That’s  100 children more than the 200 expected. They did what they could so next year we will expand the party to try and accommodate the overflow. We may never have enough but I God will continue to provide.

Happy New Year to all and thank you. Most of all thank you Jesus for what you did for us and continue to do for us, Philippians 2:6-8.
